Ski Centre Levoča is located in the Levoča mountains (Levočské vrchy), 6 km to the north of the town Levoča. It comprises 4 different accommodation facilities. The conference will take place in a newly built hotel directly under the ski slopes, offering conference rooms and accommodation in comfortable 2-bed rooms. Wi-Fi and free private parking are available for hotel guests. Along with technical programme, the conference offers an attractive social programme including local sightseeing, sports and relax.
The town Levoča is situated in the heart of the historical Spiš region in the north-east Slovakia, with a population of 14,600. To the north, this magnificent region is bordered by theLevočahills, to the north-west you can view peaks of the High Tatras. To the south, there is a unique national park known as Slovak Paradise typical by deep canyons and waterfalls. The region abounds in mineral water sources and thermal waters in Vrbov and Poprad. Spišská Nová Ves and the Vrbova thermal spa can be reached by car in 30 minutes.
Levoča has a historic center with a well preserved town wall, a Renaissance church with the highest wooden altar (18,62 meters) carved by Master Paul of Levoča, and many other Renaissance buildings. Since 2009 the town is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
